Women & Sports Committee Meeting 12–11-2005

OCA Women & Sports Committee met at Hotel Imperial Queens Park hotel, Bangkok on November 12, 2005 wherein H.E. Sheikh Ahmad Al Fahad Al Sabah attended the opening ceremony and assured his fullest cooperation for the activities of the Committee.  President OCA emphasized that we should work further to achieve IOC’s recommendation of obtaining atleast 20% women involvement in all walk of sport.

 

Ms. Anita L. De Frantz, IOC Member and Chairperson of IOC Women & Sports Committee also one of the dignitaries attended the meeting.  Ms. Etsuko Ogasawara and Dr. Supitr Samahito Members of the OCA Women & Sports Committee reported their feedback from the national level seminar held in Lahore and Vientiane in September and October 2005 respectively.  The committee also discussed various matters concerning the women participation and involvement in sport.
