PRESS RELEASE 2014 Asian Games  29-06-2005

The National Olympic Committees (NOCs) of Republic of Korea submitted the bids to host the 17th Asian Games in the year 2014.  The deadline for the submission of the bids expired on 30th of June 2005.

A seven members delegation from the City of Republic of Korea headed by Mr. Kim Kyuang – Sul Sport Promotion Division Chief of Intemational Games Team presented the bid of Republic of Korea

A 10 member Evaluation Committee from the OCA will be visiting the bidding city to inspect the venues and assess the readiness of the city to host the games.   The Evaluation Committee will submit its report to the OCA Executive Board in its meeting on 8th of September 2005.  The Executive Board will study the report and forward its recommendation to the OCA General Assembly.

The election of the City to host the Games will be taken during the 25th OCA General Assembly scheduled to be held in Doha on December 2006.
