President KOC
visits OCA HQ 16-04-2005
The newly elected President Korean
Olympic Committee (KOC) Mr. Kim Jung-Kil along with the new
Secretary General Mr. Kim Sang-Woo visited the OCA
headquarters on 16th of April 2005 and had meetings with H.E.
Sheikh Ahmad Al-Sabah, President OCA and Mr. Muttaleb Ahmad,
Director General. OCA.
The meeting focused on the joint
participating of the North and South Korean teams in the 15th
Asian Games in Doha in December 2006.
President KOC also expressed the keen
desire of the people of Korea to host the 2011 Winter Asian
Games as well as the 2014 Asian Games. He stated that the KOC
had the full backing of the Korean Government.
The establishment of the High Level
Training Center in Korea was also discussed and the President
KOC agreed to increase the number of sports in the HLTC.
The Korean delegation also paid a visit
to the site of the new OCA headquarters, which is under
construction and expressed their appreciation and support for
the project.
