Asian Indoor Games Coordination Committee Meeting 01-04-2005

The Meeting was held in Landmark Hotel Macao on 1st of April 2005, Chaired by Mr. Celso Dayrit, Vice President OCA. The other members of the Coordination Committee were :-

1. Mr. Manuel Silverio, was representing MAICOG.

2. Mr. Wei Jizhong, Chairman Sports Committee

3. Mr. Haider Farman, Manager, Asian Games Dept. OCA

4. Mr. Somchai Prastersriphan. Chairman of the Technical Committee was representing BAIGOC.

The objective of the Coordination Committee was to define the roles of the OCA, the Organizing Committees and the Asian and International Federations whose sport have been included in the 1st and 2nd Asian Indoor Games.

Mr. Wei Jizhong explained in detail that all sports in the Asian Indoor Games will strictly follow the rules and regulations as laid down in the OCA Constitution and the games will be held under the direct supervision of the OCA.

All the technical details were discussed with the Asian/International Federations and after a lot of discussions and deliberations the following requests were made by the Asian Federations:

1. Asian Athletic Association requested to drop 200 mts. from the programme due to some technical aspects and according to new IAAF Rules

2. The Asian Aerobic Federation requested to add group programme.

3. In the climbing events heats should be added.

4. There was a request from Asian Hockey Federation to add Indoor Hockey in the 2nd Asian Indoor Games.
