OCA West Asian Regional Forum 18 & 19-03-2005

The West Asian Regional Forum under the auspices of the OCA and Olympic Solidarity was held in Beirut on 18th and 19th of March 2005.  

Representatives from Member countries of Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, UAE, Yemen, Palestine were present.  The OCA was represented by Sheikh Saud Al-Thani, Vice President OCA and Mr. Husain Al-Musallam, Technical Director OCA.

Mr. Husain Musallam, Mr. James Macleod and Mr. Oliver Niamkey presented the detailed Olympic Solidarity projects and programmes for the Quadrennial 2005-2008.  Presentations were also made by Mr. Herb Perez on Talent Identification, Mr. Ali Marri on Crisis Management, Mr. Haider Farman on Asian Grown in the Olympic Games and Mr. Reza Sharif on OCA Anti-Doping Rules.

The West Asian Games Organizing Committee is also presented a detailed report on the West Asian Games to be held in Doha in December 2005.
