Guangzhou Automobile Industry Group, the first official partners of the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games 22-06-2008

H.E. Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, President OCA attended a ceremony in Guangzhou on 22nd of June 2008 wherein the handing over of the first round of sponsored cars for the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games by the Guangzhou Automobile Industry Group, the first official partners of the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games.

President OCA while thanking the Guangzhou Automobile Group for their great contribution to furthering the development of the Asian Games also thanked GAGOC and the citizens of Guangzhou for their continued efforts to stage the most successful Asian Games ever.  

The Asian Games are the biggest multi-sports events in Asia and bring together over 14,000 athletes and officials to participate in the games.  

Mayor Zhang Guangning thanked the OCA and its highly qualified staff for providing all their advice and guidance to GAGOC in staging the games and also thanked the Government of Kuwait for housing the OCA headquarters in Kuwait.

The General Manager of Guangzhou Automobile Group expressed his happiness in being associated with the Asian Games and was confident that GAG association with the Asian Games will not only consolidate its national position as one of the top car makers in China but will also help its dream of realizing international goals.
