Congratulations to Mrs. Yuko Arakida  13-05-2008

The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) would like to congratulate Mrs. Yuko Arakida, for being elected as a Member of the Executive Board of the Japanese Olympic Committee.   Mrs. Arakida is also the Chairperson of the OCA Athletes Committee.

Mrs. Arakida a former Gold Medal winner in Volleyball in the Olympic Games in Montreal in 1974.  She was also a Gold Winner in Volleyball competitions of the 1974 Tehran Asian Games.   Mrs. Arakida is a qualified international volleyball coach and has been the coach of the Swiss national women's team and German Women's junior national volleyball team.  Mrs. Arakida has been associated with the Japanese Olympic Committee since 1993 in various capacities
