The XVI ANOC GENERAL ASSEMBLY  07-04-2008

The XVI ANOC General Assembly was held in Beijing from 7th to 9th of April 2008, wherein HE Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, President OCA presented a detailed report on the activities of the Asian Continent.   His report also contained a DVD presentation on the all the Games held under the patronage of the OCA which was received with great appreciation by the Assembly.

During his presentation Sheikh Ahmad on behalf of the Asian continent expressed its total support towards the organization of the Beijing Olympic Games in August 2008.  

Along side the ANOC General Assembly the OCA also held its "Informal gathering" on 6th of April 2008.  During the course of deliberations the OCA family expressed its total support to BOGOC towards holding the Olympic Games in Beijing.  It also approved the holding of the Ist Asian Youth Games in Singapore in 2009 and the Ist Asian Martial Art Games in 2009. 

During the course of the Gathering, the OCA also signed the Host City Contract with the Chinese Olympic Committee and the City of Haiyang for hosting the 3rd Asian Beach Games in Haiyang in 2012.
