Sports For All Committee Meeting

The first Sports For All Committee
meeting under the chairmanship of
Genl. Souhail Khoury was held in
Doha Qatar on 9th of September 2007.
The Committee discussed in detail
the future guidelines and programmes
of the Committee and how to promote
sports for all in Asia.
The Committee was of the unanimous
view that since "Sports for All" is
a fairly new concept, the support of
the OCA and all the Member NOCs is a
of extreme importance. The
Committee discussed various new
ideas to be implemented under the
sports for all concept which will be
put to the forthcoming OCA Executive
Board for approval.
The Committee unanimously thanked
the Qatar Olympic Committee for
extending hospitality to host this
meeting and also thanked personally
H.E. Sheikh Saud Al-Thani, Secretary
General of QNOC for hosting a dinner
in honour of the members.
