Regional Forums West Asian NOCs  01-09-2007

The OCA/OS Regional forum for the West Asian NOCs was held in the Capital City of Sana'a Yemen on 1st and 2nd of September 2007.   Representatives from all the 13 West Asian NOCs attended the meeting.

The NOCs received detailed presentations on the Preparations for the Olympic Games from Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee and the Olympic Solidarity.   The Macau 2nd Asian Indoor Games Organizing Committee (MAIGOC) as well as the Bali 1st Asian Beach Games Organizing Committee also made detailed presentations and requested the West Asian NOCs to participate generously which will help in the spread of these new games.  

The Members unanimously expressed their appreciation for the efforts made by the Yemen Olympic Committee in organizing this forum.  The forum culminated on the 2nd day with a reception along with cultural activities held by the NOC of Yemen.
