The Chef de Mission meeting of the 2nd Asian
Indoor Games, Macau 2007 successfully
concluded in Macau on June 27, 2007. Meeting
began on June 26 wherein all Member NOCs of
OCA have presented in addition to some of
it’s Executive Board Members including Vice
President Mr.
Timothy Fok, Chairman Sports Committee Mr. Wei Jizhong,
Chairman Medical Committee Dr. M. Jegathesan
,
Mr. Manuel Silvério, Vice President
and Chairman Media Committee and Director General Mr. Husain
Al-Musallam.
The meeting was mainly centred around
preparations for
the 2AIG in the areas ranging from
competition, protocol, hospitality,
ticketing, accommodation, transportation,
security, opening and closing ceremonies,
cultural events, television broadcasting,
media services and
promotion. In order to
have close discussion with concerned
departments of MAIGOC and NOCs, a
Secretariat was fully functioned in Hotel
Westin Resort where the CDM held.
OCA thanks MAIGOC for the excellent
organization for the Chef de Missions as
well as arranged tour to Games Headquarters
Hotel (Venetian Macau Resort Hotel),
athletes hotel and technical officials
hotels as well as the 11 competition venues
and 6 training venues around Macau.
Coinciding with Chef de Mission meeting, the
following OCA Standing Committees met in
Macau to discuss and formulate their action
plan for 2007 – 2010 period.

2. Medial Committee
3. Athletes Committee
4. Media Committee
5. Culture & Education Committee
Participants were appreciated the
preparations being taken by MAIGOC for
hosting 2nd edition of Games in October this
year which will be flag-off on October 26th.
We set the new working strategy for the next
four years.
