OCA Medical Committee and OCA Anti Doping Commission
held it’s meeting with Doha Asian Games Organizing
Committee on September 18, 2006 under the Chairmanship
of Prof. Dr. Yoshio Kuroda at Shearton Doha Hotel. This
was the final meeting prior to the 15th Asian Games to
be held in Doha from December 1 – 15, 2006. DAGOC
presented a detailed report on the Doping control and
Medical & Healthcare for the Games. The
meeting reconfirmed that pre-competition test and blood
screening will be conducted in Doha, first time in the
history of Asian Games. The Medical Committee also had
the opportunity to visit various doping control and
medical care stations including the Polyclinic at
Athletes Village. The Committee expressed it’s total
satisfaction on the preparation being made by DAGOC.
