Nestle becomes Exclusive Water Supplier to the 15th Asian Games Doha 2006 06-05-2006

Dubai May 6th 2006 The Olympic Council of Asia officially signed a supplier agreement with the global leader in food and beverage, Nestle Waters. The partnership includes exclusivity in the provision of bottled water, namely Nestle Pure Life, the leading brand in the Middle East for the 15th Asian Games Doha 2006.

Nestle Waters announced that the company is honoured to be associated with the Olympic Council of Asia and The Doha Asian Games Organising Committee  promoting International relations in a spirit of fitness, health and fair play.

Mr. Husain Al-Musallam, Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia, Mr. Maurizio Patarnello, COO of Nestle Waters for the Middle East and Africa and Mr. Zaid Al Bitar, Head of Nestle Marketing signed the agreement designating Nestle Waters as the exclusive Water Supplier of the 15th Asian Games Doha 2006 in a ceremony held in Dubai today.  Mr. Manual Silverio, Vice President OCA, also attended the signing ceremony. 

“We are very pleased to welcome Nestle Waters to the 15th Asian Games Doha 2006. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship encouraging fitness and health in the Middle East,” said Mr. Al-Musallam.

“The partnership we have with Nestle as the Olympic Council of Asia comes at a time when Doha’s progress is already exceeding all expectations. This will be a fruitful partnership,” Al Musallam added.

Under the agreement, Nestle Water will be consumed on site at the Games by competitors, supporters, organisers, staff, media and volunteers. Nestle Pure Life will help athletes, officials and fans share the exciting moments of the 15th Asian Games.

Mr. Husain Al Musallam congratulated Nestle Waters as an International Supplier and expressed his appreciation of Nestle’s contribution to Asia’s largest sporting event.
