The Olympic Council of Asia would like to remind its 45 National Olympic Committees that the deadline for declaring an interest in hosting multi-sport games is March 31, 2010. The OCA is inviting bids for the following events: Asian Indoor/Martial Arts Games in 2013 and 2018; Asian Youth Games in 2013 and 2017; Asian Beach Games in 2016 and 2020; Asian Winter Games in 2017 and 2021; Asian Games in 2019 and 2023.

NOCs interested in bidding for the games are requested to forward their official Letter of Intent to the OCA by March 31. Upon receipt of the Letter of Intent, further information will be provided by the OCA to all the bidding NOCs.

The 16th edition of the OCA’s showpiece event, the Asian Games, will be held in Guangzhou, China, this November, followed by the 17th Asian Games in Incheon, Korea, in 2014.

The Asian Games cycle has been put back to 2019 so it falls one year ahead of the Summer Olympic Games, and the OCA plans to award both the 2019 and 2023 Asian Games at the same time.
