18 Aug 2014
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: A 15-strong delegation from the OCA-Incheon Vision 2014 programme visited Kuala Lumpur to present sports equipment to the Olympic Council of Malaysia. The delegation - led by Mr Lee Han Gu, Chairman of the Incheon Metropolitan Council, Culture and Welfare Committee, and Mr Kim Hyong Soo, Director of Department of Games Support of the Incheon Asian Games Support Division - presented 50 badminton racquets, 50 basketballs, 50 footballs and 50 volleyballs.

The sports equipment was presented to HRH Tunku Imran, President of OCM and IOC member, by Mr Kim. The equipment was then handed over to representatives of the National Sports Associations of badminton, basketball, football and volleyball. The associations will use the equipment in their development programmes.

The presentation ceremony was held at OCM Museum and Hall of Fame on Tuesday, August 12. After the ceremony, OCM hosted a lunch for the visiting delegation, together with the representatives of the NSAs.

The OCA-Incheon Vision 2014 programme is a joint project by the OCA and Incheon Metropolitan City, from 2007 to 2014, aimed at closing the gap between the larger and smaller NOCs to produce a more even spread of medals at the 17th Asian Games from September 19 to October 4.
