China holds national sports symposium

Beijing, China: A New Year symposium was organised in Beijing on February 25 by the General Administration of Sport of China (GASC) for officials of the national Olympic sports administrative centres and coaches of the national Olympic teams. China’s Sports Minister Liu Peng, who is also President of the Chinese Olympic Committee, addressed the symposium.

Those in attendance included: Huang Yubin, chief coach of the national gymnastics team; Zhang Xiaoning, Director of the GASC Multi-ball Games Administrative Center; Wang Yifu, chief coach of the national shooting team; Zhou Jihong, team manager of the national diving team; and Li Yan, coach of the national short-track speed-skating team.
