OCA delegation visits Vietnam

Hanoi, Vietnam: A four-member OCA delegation led by Mr Husain Al Musallam, Director General, OCA, visited Hanoi and met H.E. Mr Hoang Tuan Anh, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Sports of Vietnam, and discussed in detail the preparations for the 5th Asian Beach Games to be held in the beach city of Nha Trang in 2016. 

H.E. the Minister assured the delegation that the government of Vietnam, as well as the local municipal government of Nha Trang, were in full support of the Games and had already started preparations for the 5th Asian Beach Games.

H.E. the Minister also expressed the great expectation and desire of the people, the government and the NOC of Vietnam to host the 2019 Asian Games as per the OCA constitution and guidelines and hoped that their bid would receive the support of the OCA and the Asian NOCs.

The OCA delegation, consisting of Mr Zhang Jilong, Chairman, OCA Sports Committee, Mr Vinod Kumar Tiwari, Director, Intl Relations OCA, and Mr Reza Charim, OCA Technical Dept, along with Captain Husain, met the Minister in the city of Halong Bay which has recently been selected as one of the seven wonders of the world.
