OCA conducts sixth IT Audit for 18th Asian Games 2018

Jakarta, Indonesia, March 7, 2018: The Olympic Council of Asia conducted the sixth IT Audit for the 18th Asian Games 2018 in Jakarta, Indonesia, from February 28 to March 2. The auditors, Mr. Manuel Gonzalez and Mr. Alfonso Sanchez, with the attendance of Mr. Anil Reddy, OCA IT staff, met representatives from organising committee INASGOC’s IT&T Department and other Functional Areas as well as from the main IT&T Providers.

The first part of the audit focused on the lessons learned from the test events held in February and the necessary actions to correct all the deviations found during the event.

The second part of the audit was essentially oriented to the rest of the areas of the IT&T project to be held from now until the commencement of the Asian Games, mainly to the conclusion of the requirements gathering, customisation of the applications, testing project and training sessions of the end-users. 

Other areas reviewed in detail were venue technology, staffing plans, project management and OCA projects. The OCA Auditor will monitor the progression of the set of action plans identified for the coming months.

The OCA’s 18th Asian Games will be held in Jakarta and Palembang, capital of South Sumatra province, from August 18 to September 2 with 10,000 athletes from 45 National Olympic Committees competing in 40 sports and 462 events.
