Beijing to host modern pentathlon camp

28 Oct 2011
Lausanne, Switzerland: The International Modern Pentathlon Union (UIPM) has announced plans to double the number of athletes participating in its 2011 Riding Camps as part of an initiative to develop them into a global project. Camps will be organised in Beijing (People’s Republic of China), Rome (Italy), Kaposvar (Hungary), Palm Springs (USA) and Buenos Aires (Argentina).

All athletes who qualified for the Olympic Games in London 2012 through the 2011 qualification competitions will have the opportunity to have one-week intensive riding training with experienced modern pentathlon equestrian coaches.

As in previous years, the project is entirely funded by the UIPM and the nations involved do not have to contribute to the cost of participation. More details can be found at www.pentathlon.org.
