AESF President welcomes IOC's E-Sports acknowledgement at Olympic Summit

HongKong, China, October 31, 2017:


Asian Electronic Sports Federation (AESF) President Kenneth Fok welcomes and supports the International Olympic Committee’s recognition of the rapid growth of E-Sports and for considering competitive E-Sports as a sporting activity at the 6th Olympic Summit in Lausanne, Switzerland

“We would like to express our gratitude for IOC’s strong support in the development of E-Sports”, Kenneth Fok said.

"We would also like to extend our thanks to Sheikh Ahmad Al Fahad Al Sabah, the President of OCA and ANOC, who plays a vital role in promoting E-Sports worldwide.


“As a leading E-Sports continent, AESF shares a common goal with all stakeholders in promoting E-Sports in Asia as a professional sport, and the players comparable to athletes in traditional sports.

"E-Sports will earn its global validity and we have great confidence about the future success," he added.


Kenneth Fok, Vice President of the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, was unanimously elected AESF President on September 19, 2017 at Ashgabat.
