Oman Olympic Committee launches 10 assistant committees

Muscat, Oman: Oman Olympic Committees has launched the new formation of its assistant committees attached to its board of directors for the next stage of activity. The committees were announced in a press conference at the Conference Hall of the Building of OOC and Sports Associations in the presence of Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Zubair, OOC Chairman; Sheikh Saif bin Hilal Al Hosni, OOC Vice Chairman; Mr. Taha bin Sulaiman Al Kishry, OOC Secretary General; Mr. Al Mutasim bin Humood Al Zidjali, OOC Treasurer; a number of OOC board members; chairmen of sports committees and sports personalities selected for membership of these committees.

A total of 10 assistant committees were set up within OOC, namely Planning and Follow-up Committee, Olympic Solidarity Committee, Anti-Doping Committee, Women’s Sports Committee, Athletes Committee, Sport for All Committee, Sport and Environment Committee, Sports Medicine Committee, Media Committee and Marketing Committee. 

Specific objects and programs were designated for all assistant committees and the attendants were informed about the terms of reference and duties of these committees as well as the mode of work between them and OOC board.
