Maldives NOC reports on course qualifiers

Male, Maldives: The Maldives Olympic Committee reports that two delegates from Maldives have qualified for the Advanced Sports Management Course (ASMC) on Directors in Switzerland this month. The ASMC is one of the sports management courses organised by the IOC’s Olympic Solidarity in collaboration with the National Olympic Committees.

The two delegates who qualified for the session are Hussain Mohamed, Secretary General of the Volleyball Association of Maldives, and Mohamed Jaushan Shareef. Hussain Mohamed and Mohamed Jaushan Shareef completed the Basic Sports Administrators Course (BSAC) held in Male’ from May 25-29, 2011, and were given the opportunity to join the advanced level of BSAC - Training the Trainers Course - along with the other top three participants from this session.

Hussain Mohamed and Fayaz Ali; who was also selected among the top five participants in the first BSAC in 2011, coordinated four sessions in Maldives. The four sessions were conducted in AA Mathiveri, HD. Kulhudhuhfushi, Addu City and in L.Fonadhoo.
