Good progress in Incheon IT

Incheon, Korea: The 5th OCA IT Audit was held in Incheon, Korea, from October 29 – 31. The auditors, Mr. Manuel Gonzalez and Mr. Alfonso Sanchez, reviewed the progress of the IT and Telecommunication projects. All IAGOC’s IT staff as well as the main providers for IT and Telecommunications participated actively in all the sessions.

The main areas inspected were the nomination of IT providers, the staffing plan, the requirements gathering process, the project management and the accomplishment of the master plan for both Asian Games 2014 and Asian Indoor Martial & Arts Games 2013.

The overall IT project is making good progress mainly in the areas related to staffing and collection of requirements. At the same time, action plans were agreed to overcome the risks and main issues identified. The OCA auditors expressed their satisfaction for the outcome of the overall audit sessions and the collaboration from IT department and the main IT providers.
