Turkmen judokas win medals in Iran

Ashgabat, Turkmenistan: Turkmen judokas won one gold, one silver and two bronze medals at an international judo tournament in Tehran. Athletes from nine countries, including Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Iran, Lebanon, Pakistan, Syria and Tajikistan, competed for the medals. M. Artykov (under 60 kg) gained four victories and won the gold medal. A. Ergeshov became the bronze medal-winner in this weight category.

N. Yalkabov (under 90 kg) gained three victories and ranked second in his weight category. S. Jummyev (under 81 kg) won the bronze medal. The winners are students of the National Institute of Sport and Tourism. The experienced judokas and coaches T. Amandurdyev and G. Nurmuhamedov prepared the athletes for the tournament.
