Afghanistan NOC lauds medal winners

Kabul, Afghanistan: A number of Afghan athletes were officially recognised by the National Olympic Committee of Afghanistan for their outstanding performances in recent international competitions, Bakhtar News Agency reports from the capital Kabul. The athletes had won bronze medals in boxing and a total of six medals in the martial art of New Full Contact.

BNA reports that eight New Full Contact athletes who attended an international competition in Turkey managed to win two gold medals, three silver and one bronze. Mohammad Reza Basir came first and was recognised as the best athlete. Also in these competitions, Amir Hosain Haidari, head of the New Full Contact Federation, was recognised as best educator in the world.
