Moscow, Russia: The London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) - headed by Chairman Lord Sebastian Coe - attended the 18th ANOC General Assembly on Sunday and presented Games preparation and information reports to the 204 NOCs. Team Welcome Ceremonies will be held from July 16-26 (09:30-17:30) in the Village Plaza. Each ceremony will last less than 30 minutes and involve a maximum of four NOCs.

The London Olympic Village is located in Olympic Park with a total area of 360,000 square metres. It can accommodate 16,000 residents and provides a base for all athletes and team officials other than in sports taking place at other venues, such as rowing, sailing and football.

There is a 32-inch TV with Olympic Feed, 50 TV and 24 radio channels and free Wi-fi internet in every apartment, along with soft furnishings and balcony, patio table and chairs. There is a ratio of three athletes to one bathroom.

Olympic Villages will pre-open on Monday, July 9. The official opening is on Monday, July 16. The Village will close on Wednesday, August 15. LOCOG confirmed the first Chefs de Mission meeting at 08:00 on July 13 and all subsequent meetings at 07:30. It also offers Arabic, French, Russian and Spanish interpretation.

Accreditation, the International Dignitary Programme, services to NOC Presidents and Secretaries General, Transportation Services, Ticketing, Arrival & Departure Services, Catering Services and Opening and Closing Ceremony information were also presented by the LOCOG team at the ANOC General Assembly.
