World wrestling champ wins top Mongolian award

Mongolia NOC celebrated its annual Olympic gala "Burtu Chono" to honour its sporting heroes in kind collaboration with Mongolian National Broadcasting on December 23, 2010. HE Mr Ts Elbegdorj, President of Mongolia, presented the Burtu Chono (mythical wolf) Trophy to Ms S Battsetseg, Mongolia’s first ever female wrestling world champion in Moscow, in the presence of NOC President Dr D Zagdsuren.

The other best athletes are: M Bundmaa, Kh Tsagaanbaatar (both judo), G Mandakhnaran, G Naranchimeg (both wrestling), Ts Khongorzul (shooting), M. Davaajaragal (sumo), B Ganbat (national wrestling), B Munguntuul (chess), B. Ser-Od (marathon).

Best young athletes: G Erdenebold (gymnastics), B Battsetseg (wrestling), D Nomin-Erdene (chess).

Best coaches: Z Duvchin (wrestling), Ch Nasantogtokh (judo), A Tsedensodnom (wrestling).

Best Team: Men's basketball. Best referee: E Munkhbileg (ITTF). Best club: Khangard-Erdenet (Director, D Bayasgalan). Best federation: Mongolian Wrestling Federation (President, L Chinbat). Best Olympic Council: "Barcelona" Olympic Council from Selenge Province.
