Kuwait’s Olympic medallist shoots to the top of Asian trap rankings

Kuwait: Kuwait’s Olympic bronze medal-winner at London 2012, Fehaid Al-Deehani, stands a top two of the latest rankings issued by the Asian Shooting Confederation.Al-Deehani, who won the bronze medal in men’s trap at the London Olympics, climbed from 13th place in the previous Asian rankings to first in the new edition dated September 1.

With 1,939 points, the Kuwaiti has a big lead over second-placed Manavjit Singh Sandhu of India with 1,226. Al-Deehani retains his top ranking in the double trap after his fourth-place finish at London. He has 2,487 points, well clear of UAE’s Sheikh Juma Al-Maktoum in second place with 1,436 points.

Al-Deehani won Kuwait’s first ever medal at the Olympic Games with a bronze in men’s double trap at Sydney 2000 and followed it up with a second bronze at London, this time in trap.
