Asia celebrates Olympic Day 2014

Kuwait City, Kuwait: The global Olympic Movement is preparing to celebrate the annual Olympic Day on or around June 23, and the Olympic Council of Asia is keen to promote and publicise the activities of Asian National Olympic Committees. Tell us about your plans and preparations for Olympic Day, and send us a short report and photos of the event for inclusion on the OCA website (www.ocasia.org) and in the next edition of the OCA newsletter, Sporting Asia.

Cambodia NOC is celebrating Olympic Day during the 4th Phnom Penh International Half Marathon on Sunday, June 15 in front of the Royal Palace, while Brunei Darussalam NOC will hold a 5km mass run on Sunday, June 22 for a maximum of 2,000 participants in three age categories: -18, +18 and +40.

The Brunei event, which is being held in conjunction with the 30th anniversary of the BD NOC, will begin and end at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas. A warm up session will also be conducted before the run at 7am.
