Maldives NOC conducts sports admin course

Male, Maldives, October 3, 2017: The Maldives Olympic Committee, in cooperation with Olympic Solidarity, coordinated the ninth phase of the Basic Sports Administrators Course from September 27-30. The course was delivered to 29 participants from Male’ City and Addu City and was held in the National Sports Council seminar room over a two-day period.

The sessions were led by NOC instructors trained by Olympic Solidarity and it was aimed at staff and managers of affiliated National Sports Associations/Federations, sports clubs and other sports organisations.

The course exposed participants to the concept of the Olympic Movement, including its values, attitudes and philosophy of Olympic sports. Information relating to the technical aspects of Olympic sports and athlete development was also presented.

Upon the successful completion of the course, all 29 participants were awarded with the IOC’s Sports Administrator Course Certificate of Participation.
