Mongolia NOC reveals Olympic stamps

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia: Mongolia NOC, in collaboration with Mongol Post Co.Ltd, has unveiled a special series of stamps dedicated to the London 2012 Olympic Games. The stamps ceremony was held at Olympic House and attended by Mr.Ts. Damdin, NOC Vice President, Mr.G. Chinzorig, Director General of Mongol Post Co.Ltd, and by Mr. Jugder Otgontsagaan, NOC Secretary-General and President of the Mongolian Sports Press Union.

Mongolia has issued Olympic stamps since its first appearance in the Summer Olympics at Tokyo in 1964. The new stamps depict London's most famous landmarks and Mongolian medal hopes for the Olympics. They were designed by Mr.Ch. Bat-Erdene.

The ceremony was widely covered by local and foreign media. Also, Mr.G.Chinzorig, Mongol Post boss, donated Olympic stamps worth 2 million Mongolian tugrigs to Team Mongolia.
