Manila, Philippines: The OCA Culture Committee, under the chairmanship of Mr Mohammad Al Kamali, met at the Manila Sofitel on Friday for a follow-up meeting to discuss and confirm unresolved subjects raised in its previous meeting held on December 12 at the OCA headquarters in Kuwait.

The committee members have confirmed to hold an Asian Games kids' art competition involving the OCA's 45 National Olympic Committees in 2014; this was approved at the 64th OCA Executive Board Meeting held later in the day.

The winner of the competition will be determined by the 61,000 spectators at the opening ceremony and athletes of the 17th Asian Games in Incheon, Korea, which will start on September 19, 2014.

The committee also emphasized more involvement in the coordination process of future OCA games and confirmed the creation of an OCA Culture Committee logo.

Mr. Kamali promised more Asian culture elements will be implemented in future OCA sport events in his closing remarks. He said: “One of OCA Culture Committee’s main focus in the future will be introducing the diverse culture of Asia into our sports. By doing so we should meet more often to work together. I’d like to thank all members for their great contributions in the past year of 2013, and wish we all will achieve our great target in 2014.”
