Macau NOC shows support for Nanjing YOG

Macau, China: Macau celebrated the Youth Olympic Torch Relay for the Nanjing Youth Olympic Games this August with a gathering of the National Olympic Committee Executive Board members at the NOC HQ on Tuesday afternoon. ed by the President of the Sports and Olympic Committee of Macau, China, Mr Charles Lo, the sports officials showed their support for the YOG with a display of flags, mascots, “Give me Fire” fans and other souvenirs.

“We are sure that the 2nd Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China, will be a festival of youth, sport, culture and education,” said Mr Lo, who is also Chairman of the OCA Media Committee and a member of the OCA Executive Board. "We wish the organisers and the Olympic Movement in China all the best for a successful YOG."

The 2nd YOG will run from August 16-28 and feature 3,600 athletes aged from 15-18 in 28 sports.
