Karate concern for SEA Games 2015

01 Mar 2014
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: The 170th Olympic Council of Malaysia council meeting was held on Saturday, March 1, when the main item discussed was the non-inclusion of karate in the 28th SEA Games, Singapore 2015. It was concluded that, while the member NOCs of the SEA Games Federation had submitted their appeals for additional sports, disciplines and events at the Sports and Rules Committee meeting on February 15, the final list would be decided only at the SEA Games Federation council meeting in Singapore on April 29, 2014.

It was also clarified that, based on existing and past practices, the host organising committee has certain prerogative to decide on the sports and events to be included, depending on the situation and conditions of the host country.
