Main Accreditation Centre opens for AIMAG

29 Apr 2013
Incheon, Korea: The Main Accreditation Centre for the 4th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG) in Incheon from June 29 to July 6 is officially open. Mr Kim Young Soo, President of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games Organising Committee (IAGOC), opened the AIMAG Main Accreditation Centre in a tape-cutting ceremony at Meet-You-All Tower in Songdo, the home of IAGOC, on April 22.

The ceremony was also attended by Dr Kwon Kyung Sang, Secretary General of IAGOC, and other executives of IAGOC, and also by Mr Kim Sung Il, President of the 2014 Incheon Asian Para Games Organising Committee, and Mr Lee Yune, the president of Incheon Technopark.

The Main Accreditation Centre is where athletes, officials, staff, OCA family and volunteers will receive their accreditation cards and their validation. Approximately 17,600 accreditation cards are expected to be issued, including 4,000 athletes and officials from 45 countries and regions, and 2,500 volunteers.

In addition to the Main Accreditation Centre there will be six other accreditation centres, including Samsan World Gymnasium and Incheon International Airport. There will be 57 staff members assigned to work at the accreditation centres. Accreditation cards will be dispatched in May to the 45 National Olympic Committees, allowing all visiting participants to enter Korea without an entry visa and to access all the Games venues and facilities.
