Korea NOC elects new President

Seoul, Korea, February 22, 2013: The Korean Olympic Committee reports that Dr. Kim Jung Haeng has been elected President of the KOC by the General Assembly on Friday, February 22. Mr. Kim succeeds Mr Y.S. Park, who led the KOC for the past four years. Mr Park was appointed Honorary President of the KOC at the General Assembly.

In a letter to H.E. Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, President of the Olympic Council of Asia and of the Association of National Olympic Committees, KOC Secretary General Choi Jong-Jun writes: “Under the new leadership, the KOC will continue to strive further in the Olympic Movement in both the domestic and international level. Many thanks in the Olympic spirit for your continued support.”
