OCA Environment Committee discusses forum, awards

15 Feb 2018
Seoul, Korea, February 13, 2018: The Olympic Council of Asia’s Environment Committee held a meeting at the Seoul Dragon City Hotel in the Korean capital on February 13. Six members of the committee attended the meeting, which was presided over by the OCA Environment Committee Chairman, Mr Yu Kyung-sun.

The committee discussed two main topics. One concerned the OCA Environment Committee hosting the OCA Environment Forum and various environment campaign activities in combination with the 18th Asian Games 2018 in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia, from August 18 to September 2. The other topic was about establishing the OCA Environment Awards.

“Our meeting was very productive and our EC members came up with many good ideas to make our people recognise the value of environment through OCA major games,” said Mr Yu. “We also discussed practical action plans to host an environmental forum and establishing environment awards for the organisation and individual who take the initiative in protecting the environment in Asia.”
