18 Jan 2017
Doha, Qatar, January 17, 2017: HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, honoured four QOC scholarship graduates from universities in Qatar and England. The four graduates all now work for the QOC. The ceremony was held on the sidelines of the QOC's General Assembly.

Mr Hassan Hassam Al Hababi, Director of the QOC Human Resources Department, said: “The QOC Scholarship Programme is one of our most important programmes as it aims at developing the local human resources in light of the Qatar National Vision 2030 project.

“The QOC is keen to support the scholarship programme as it aims at attracting graduates of local high schools and enrolling them in local and international universities. The QOC is proud of its scholarship programme graduates who have joined the QOC work team,” Al Hababi added.

In light of the Qatar National Vision 2030, the QOC launched the scholarship programme in August 2008 to develop local human resources. The QOC is also keen on investing in the energy of young people by providing them with the best educational and employment options.
