Alpine Skiing coaches seminar in DPRK

09 Jan 2017
Pyongyang, DPR Korea, January 9, 2017: The DPR Korea Ski Association held its first Coaches Seminar for 20 coaches engaged in Alpine Skiing from December 15-20. Led by Peter Zenhausern, the six-day agenda included seminars on topics such as creating and structuring training sessions, course setting and ski technique.

The daily seminars were followed by intensive on-snow training where the group could benefit from excellent ski and slope conditions at Masik Ski Resort which, to date, remains the only ski resort in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

“The overall organisation by the DPR Korea Ski Association was excellent and very well structured,” said Zenhausern.“We could benefit from great conditions. It was a big success overall and especially great to see the positive development of the participants over the course of the week.”
