2nd Official Asian Games FUN RUN 2004

Over three hundred children from Jeonju City sprinted to the finish line at the Jeonju Main Stadium for the second Official Asian Games Fun Run 2004 on Saturday 29th May, to celebrate sport in Asia and to highlight the 15th Asian Games Doha 2006.

Organised by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and the Korean Olympic Committee (KOC), over 300 children aged between 8-16 were invited to participate in the event, being held to promote and spread the message of the Asian Games in the region and to also promote development, understanding and friendship throughout the continent.

We are pleased to host this Asian Games Fun Run and hope this would highly contribute to the development of peace and friendship in Asia and I wish the Asian Games in Doha 2006 will be a successful one” said Dr. Yun-Taek LEE , President of KOC. Each child was given a limited edition Asian Games Fun Run 2004 t-shirt and cap and upon completion received a certificate of achievement from the Olympic Council of Asia.
