Bank of China Macau Branch rewards elite athletes

Macau, China: The sports community of Macau gathered for a presentation evening at Macau Tower Banquet Hall on Monday evening, courtesy of the Bank of China Macau Branch. In a function organised jointly by the Sports and Olympic Committee of Macau, China, the government’s sports department (IDM) and the Bank of China, a total of 152 athletes from 13 national sports associations received prize money from the Bank of China for their outstanding results in 16 championships or multi-sports events in 2013-2014. The prize money totalled around 1.4 million Macau Patacas (MOP), or US$175,000. 

The President of Macau NOC, Mr Charles Lo, gave a welcome address and also presented some of the athletes with their prize. Mr Lo is Chairman of the OCA Media Committee and a member of the OCA Executive Board.
