Male, Maldives: The Maldives Olympic Committee reports that former national volleyball team libero Ahmed Adheel has completed the International Coaching Course at Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary. The course was held under the Olympic Scholarship for Coaches programme and took place from March 17 to June 6 at Semmelweis University, Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Sciences.

The volleyball veteran is among the few who have participated in the programme offered by the Maldives Olympic Committee in association with Olympic Solidarity and Semmelweis University. Maldives was one of 13 countries represented in a variety of sports.

Ahmed Adheel was awarded the graduation certificate by IOC President Thomas Bach after graduating with flying colours, achieving the full score for his final report on “Long-term player development for Volleyball in Maldives.”

“It was a great opportunity. I got to work with international experts and colleagues. I had the chance to learn so many new things on an international platform, and the best part was I got to conduct and participate in Volley-related training, starting from the class room to the national team of Hungary,” he told the Maldives Olympic Committee.

He also stated that his main aim now is to achieve success in the field of professional coaching and is very much thankful to Maldives NOC for providing him with such an opportunity.
