Yu Zaiqing receives award at World Wushu Championships

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: The 12th World Wushu Championships 2013 was officially declared open at the combined welcome dinner and opening ceremony at the Dewan Tun Lim Keng Yaik, Menara PGRM, Kuala Lumpur, on October 31. The event was attended by over 1,500 wushu athletes and officials from 80 countries.

Dato’ Martin Lim, President of the Wushu Federation of Malaysia, and Dato’ Seri Kee Yong Wee, Honorary Life President of the Wushu Federation of Malaysia and Vice President of the International Wushu Federation, were the hosts of the opening ceremony in the presence of the guest of honour, Mr Yu Zaiqing, President of the International Wushu Federation and IOC member.

A highlight of the opening ceremony was the presentation by the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation of the Brand Laureate Premier Award to the International Wushu Federation and the Brand Laureate International Brand Personality Award to Mr Yu Zaiqing, President of IWUF, for his contribution to the IWUF.

The 12th World Wushu Championships end on November 6.
