Incheon Sports Fair marks 300 days to Asian Games

Incheon, Korea: The 2014 Incheon Asian Games Organising Committee (IAGOC) will hold the 2013 Incheon Tour & Leisure Sports Fair at the Incheon Songdo Convensia from November 29 to December 1. The Fair will be held as an event to mark the 300-days countdown to the opening of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games, which run from September 19 to October 4, 2014.

All of the countries and regions that will participate in the 2014 Asian Games will set up cultural and tourism promotion booths at the Fair, along with the participation of some 150 organisations and companies in 400 booths. 

The Fair will also feature various exhibition halls.  “Hall of the Asian Games” will introduce the history, sports and results at the previous Asian Games.  “Tourism Promotion Hall” will introduce various tourist sites and attractions in and out of Korea.  “Leisure Sports Hall” will exhibit sports equipment and offer various trial sessions in sports such as rock climbing and powered paragliding.  And the “Asian Food Festival Hall” will host a food court of various Asian cuisines.

Also, cultural events and prize giveaways will be held to attract visitors to the Fair, which is expected to not only attract visitors to the 2014 Asian Games but serve as a catalyst of growth for the tourism, leisure and sports industries in Incheon.

The official opening of the Fair will be held at 11am on Friday, November 29 with the attendance of Mr. Kim Young-soo, President of IAGOC, and civic representatives and members of the diplomatic community of Asia in Korea.
