Children of Asia Games to stay in Yakutia for 2016

Yakutsk, Russian Federation: The President of Sakha Republic, Egor Borisov, has announced that the sixth Children of Asia International Sports Games will be held in Yakutia in 2016. He made the announcement during a meeting with leaders of the teams participating in the Fifth Children of Asia International Sports Games.

Almost 3,000 young athletes from 26 countries are participating in the current Children of Asia Games, along with teams from Moscow, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Yakutia, Ural, Far Eastern and Siberian Federal districts.

The Games will run from July 5-15 and feature 20 sports. They have the official backing of the Olympic Council of Asia for the first time.
