Afghanistan NOC sends athletes to Iran sports games

Kabul, Afghanistan: Abdul Mahboob Sarwari, an official with Afghanistan's National Olympic Committee, announced that Afghan athletes have left for Iran to compete in the 10th International Fajr Jam, according to a report on Afghanistan Online. There will be competitions in various sports. Afghan runners will be competing in the 60-metre to 1,000-metre races.

Besides running, Afghans will also compete in wushu. Five female Afghan wushu athletes, a coach and the head of the Wushu Federation have left for Iran as well.
