London Olympics Update: Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan: The Olympic delegation of Kyrgyzstan for the London 2012 Games will consist of 36 people, the Director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sport, Baigazy Kenjebaev, told the Kabar News Agency. “The delegation includes only those people that are directly related to the Olympics. This is 14 sportsmen, 11 trainers, massage therapists, medical personnel and others," said B. Kenjebaev.

The party includes four wrestlers: Arsen Eraliev (-55 kg) and Daniyar Kobon (-74 kg) in Greco-Roman and Magamed Musaev (-96 kg) and Aisuluu Tynybekova (-63 kg) in freestyle wrestling. “All the athletes are well prepared. We expect medals from all the wrestlers, hopefully gold,” added the government official. Kyrgyzstan will be represented in sailing for the first time, by Ilya Ignatyev, who received a pass from the IOC.
