14 Jan 2013
Lausanne, Switzerland: Olympic Winter Games host PyeongChang 2018 has staged a star-studded Dream Programme annual winter sports festival in Korea for teenagers from around the world. The 13-day event involves more than 160 children and youth from 40 nations, including for the first time East Timor, Uganda, Vietnam and Papua New Guinea.

The events have taken place at the main Olympic venues at the Alpensia Resort and Gangneung Ice Rink. The Dream Programme is an initiative established in 2004 as part of PyeongChang’s 2010 bid and invites young participants from tropical countries and developing nations that have little chance to enjoy winter sports. It has enabled 1,083 youngsters from 50 countries to take part in winter sports disciplines.
