13 Jul 2011
Tokyo, Japan: The OCA Rules Committee met in Tokyo on Wednesday afternoon and put forward a by-law giving the OCA President, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, the right to appoint six members to the Executive Board. This will be comprised of three vice presidents and three members.

The proposal was approved by the OCA Executive Board later on Wednesday and must be ratified by the General Assembly on Thursday, July 14.

Rules Committee Chairman Sheikh Talal Al-Fahad Al-Sabah thanked the Japanese Olympic Committee for hosting the meeting, and said he looked forward to working for the OCA Rules Committee for a further four years after the General Assembly elections.

“I am very happy and honoured to have been working for four years, and I am looking forward to the next four years,” he said.
