Almaty fun run a big success

17 Sep 2009

A Fun Run in Almaty, Kazakhstan, to promote the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, China, proved to be a big success. A pre-run ceremony included a local dancer and violinist, and the attendance for the run was excellent thanks to the efforts of local organizers.

The run took place outside Central Stadium in Almaty, where England played a football World Cup qualifier earlier this year, and in attendance was the Deputy Mayor along with the organisers from the NOC, Ministry of Sport and the Almaty-Astana 2011 Asian Winter Games Organising Committee.
